NHS orthodontics is available to anyone under the age of 18 who requires orthodontic treatment for dental health reasons such as severe crowding or protrusion of the teeth.

We are able to treat people under 18 years old on the NHS only if they meet the criteria for treatment set by the Government and the Department of health. This is called an IOTN. Orthodontists are specially trained to make this assessment.

We are able to offer alternatives for anyone under the age of 18 who cannot access NHS Orthodontic Care. If there is a long waiting list, we can offer affordable private care. As with the NHS care, this treatment can require traditional wire braces, rather than discreet, cosmetic brace options. Anyone of any age has the option of receiving private care irrespective of the IOTN score.
